About US

Welcome to Evolve personal training, Ormskirk’s only private personal training facility. Our ever growing studios offer 1-2-1 or small group personal training in a fully private setting. Every session that is taken in the studio is just the trainer and the client.

Since opening we have had great success with 100s of people training in our studio. As the number of people wanting to book in has grown, we have also grown with it. We now have 8 personal trainers, both male and female, and 5 private studios!

Unlike most gyms you don’t need a membership to train in the studios, you dont have to sign any contracts and there’s no joining fees. You just pay for the training sessions you book in.

Strength & Conditioning​

We provide tailored training to help you reach your goals, whether it’s improving your fitness, preparing for competition or fat loss. A combination of weight lifting, cardio and functional fitness is provided by our trainers. As well as having the full attention of your coach, if you have a particular focus, the benefit of personal training is that your sessions are fully personalised.

Yoga

Yoga can help you to improve your flexibility, balance and strength as well as reduce stress and improve concentration. Many athletes turn to yoga to help them boost their performance as well as rehabilitate from injuries.
Private yoga classes can be tailored to suit your needs and the instructor will show you the proper alignment of the yoga poses so you can understand the mechanics of your body. It doesn’t matter if you are a complete beginner, you will notice improvements in your body and mind after just a few sessions.

Nutrition

If you really want the results you desire you have to make sure your nutrition is in check. Sometimes the smallest error in your diet can hinder your overall results. As your body changes your diet needs to change!
That’s why when buying a plan for me you get my full support 24/7. I will be there with you all the way. If something is not quite right then we can change any details!

Dan Heavican

Personal Trainer

Dan is the owner of Evolve Personal Training. Opening the studios in June 2016, he is a full time personal trainer and director of the gym. Dan has a wealth of experience, working in gyms since the age of 18. Dan covers all areas of fitness, training clients from beginners to pro athletes. He has a keen interest in Olympic lifting and strength training which he loves introducing to his clients.

Chris was brought to the studio by Dan in September 2016 intially on a part time basis but after his growing popularity this quickly became a full time role. Chris is an advocate of intense training. He likes to get the best out of you every session pushing you as much as he can. He will have you achieving things in the gym you never thought you could do. Our clients love training with Chris. If you want to leave the gym feeling like you have had a hard but enjoyble workout then Chris is your man.

Lauren Wilson

Lauren had been a trainer at the studios since April 2017. She is a very popular trainer in the Ormskirk area having ran busy bootcamps for a number of years. She holds a number of qualifications including advanced bootcamp instructor, insanity instructor, boxercise and kettlebell instructor. Lauren is also a competitive runner having competed locally and nationally.

Nicola joined the studio as an instructor in January 2018. Nic is a level 2 gym instructor and level 3 personal trainer. Nic loves to get her clients lifting weights and circuit training. She is also a competitive runner.

Jodie Kinnear

Jodie joined the team in May 2018, She is a well known trainer around Ormskirk having trained clients in a popular gym in the area for the last 6 years. Jodie is an all rounder in the gym. Will joined the team in November 2018, He is a Level 3 personal trainer and semi professional footballer. Wills main area of expertise is strength and conditioning with aim to improve athletic performance. Will also has extensive nutritional knowledge, so if you're looking to lose weight or build muscle Will is your man!

Jen joined the team in December 2018 and is our resident Yoga instructor. Jen can help you to improve your flexibility, balance and strength as well as reduce stress and improve concentration. Yoga can help boost performance aswel as rehabilitate from injury. Jen offers 1-2-1 or small group yoga in a private room and is on hand to help complete beginners or seasoned yogis!

Georgia is new to the Evolve team and provides child friendly 1-2-1 or group sessions, and mum and baby classes.

Dakus Sterling

Dakus began with us near the beginning of 2019 as the first person to try our new apprenticeship programme. Now he is a fully qualified PT and the newest member to our team. He is very popular with many of the students who train around Ormskirk as he used to study at Edge Hill University. Dakus has 9 years’ experience in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) and is a purple belt under 14x world champion, Roger Gracie. He also has 7 years’ experience in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). If you would like a session with him, you can book in online via the online booking system, or if you want to try either BJJ or MMA, you can follow his social media and message him privately.
